FRESCO Pitcher Set

MAGPPIE was looking to launch a serveware collection that would appeal to a younger consumer group than its existing consumer base, with suitable styling and price point.

The methodology adopted to achieve the above involved, using simple construction with minimal tooling required, working with mix material and outsourcing some components, along with enhancement of colour/ finish/surface pattern etc.
Fresco uses a basic sheet rolled construction with an outsourced glass insert. The use of felt sleeves makes for an interesting addition as it solves a technical problem as well as gives it a visual advantage.

• ​Felt sleeve makes the glass jar fit snugly inside the SS body and prevents it from dropping while pouring or drinking. It contains the gap between SS and glass insert which is otherwise not possible to check in manufacturing.

• Felt lining protects hands from heat and insulates the hot or cold beverage.

• Felt helps to add an element of colour, texture, pattern etc to the otherwise mundane looking stainless steel.
