MUNJ Collection

The collection seeks to preserve artisanal tradition and the best of Indian culture by embracing newer applications of the traditional crafts. It emphasizes on protecting, engaging with local artisans to preserve craft and take it from one generation to the next.

Munj is a contemporary application of age-old craft that is sustainable, organic, and functional. It is a perfect union of indigenous materiality with ancient craft technique translated to modern day usability through its bold design.

**Munj grass weaving is a craft practiced extensively across UP, Bihar in India to make baskets and other utilitarian household products. It carries cultural significance and has its roots in the traditional beliefs of the Indian value system.

The stool top is made in traditional coiling technique with Munj and Kaasa grass, with rod bent powder-coated MS legs. They are designed minimalistically, to not take away attention from the beautiful patterned, handwoven top.
